Managing RCRA-regulated waste continues to pose the biggest challenge for pharmacists. The complexity of the regulations, a lack of in-house expertise, and insufficient storage space are the most common roadblocks to success. While just 6% of facilities have been cited for non-compliance, citations are up from zero in 2008, making this an interesting trend to watch.
