Satisfaction rates with engineering controls, in particular LAFWs and CAIs, are very high. The number of facilities using CAIs increased from 29% in 2008 to 34% this year, and facilities using more than one CAI also grew. In addition, an increasingly strong majority (86%) have their CAIs certified according to the CETA guidelines. Notably, the number of CAIs located within the cleanroom is decreasing.
