Pharmacy has not been left out of the telehealth explosion that grew out of the pandemic response. While pharmacy-to-patient telehealth remains a minority practice, it did experience double digit growth this year and with many facilities looking to expand their telehealth options over the next 3 years, this upward trajectory is expected to continue.

While still a novel practice for most, the number of facilities offering pharmacist-to-patient telehealth grew by 11% this year. Currently, just over two of every 10 facilities (21%) now offer this valuable service.
Telehealth adoptions are currently strongest among the largest facilities; however, as many facilities are planning to adopt teleheatlh over the next 3 years, we expect facilities of all sizes to take advantage of this technology.
Pharmacies providing telehealth options typically rely on a homegrown platform to do so. Nonetheless, there are a variety of vendors offering platforms to support these efforts.
