Data presented in Pharmacy Purchasing & Products’ 16th annual State of Pharmacy Compounding examines the evolving practices within pharmacy compounding as most facilities focus on meeting the new regulatory requirements, adopting best practices, and increasing automation usage. Reflecting the greater trends in the marketplace, this year’s survey respondents are allocating more staff to sterile compounding, and the pressure to increase staffing and automation adoptions is likely to continue as in-house compounding volumes are projected to increase over the next few years.
Survey respondents represent a cross section of health system facility sizes.
