The results from PP&P’s 5th annual survey on USP <800> practices demonstrate improving rates of compliance; nevertheless, most pharmacy directors still have work to do to ensure safe handling of hazardous drugs throughout their facilities. The strong focus over the past few years on building compliant cleanrooms is engendering positive feedback during inspections, allowing many pharmacy directors to now focus on developing policies and procedures, as well as training and monitoring programs. We are grateful to the 200 pharmacy leaders who completed this survey and shared their experiences with <800> compliance efforts in order to create this benchmarking tool.

Survey respondents hail from a cross section of facility sizes.

Survey respondents share their experiences from rural, suburban, and urban hospital pharmacies.

Half of respondents represent community hospitals, while 44% speak for teaching facilities.
