Continuous growth is the hallmark of this category; just over one-quarter of pharmacies now take advantage of an automated approach to ensure the safety and efficiency of their medication tray systems.
Implementation rates are particularly strong in mid- and large-sized facilities. Those hospitals with 400+ beds are closing in on an adoption rate of 50%.
Tray management vendors receive strong satisfaction ratings; 74% of users assign top marks to their chosen system. This high level of satisfaction translates into equally strong vendor loyalty.
Kit Check leads this category, followed by Intelliguard and TraySafe.
Reflecting the strong system satisfaction, 45% of all users plan to expand use of their system. This projection holds true across facilities of sizes.
An additional 27% of pharmacies are planning to adopt this automation over the next 3 years.
New adoptions will be spread out among different sized facilities.
