The steady progress toward full nationwide implementation of these two key technologies stalled this year, but is expected to continue its upward trend over the next few years.
While implementation rates for BCMA and CPOE are approaching 100%, there was no growth this year as pharmacy directors focused their attention on other technology implementations.
Facilities of all sizes are equally committed to adopting BCMA and CPOE; the slightly slower pace of adoptions in the smallest facilities reflects their tighter budget constraints.
