For PP&P’s USP <800> survey, 202 survey respondents share their current HD handling practices as well as their projected timelines for achieving compliance with the various requirements and recommendations within the chapter. The respondents represent a cross-section of US hospital pharmacies, in terms of facility sizes, locations, and types. Most respondents (82%) are pharmacy directors, assistant directors, or managers/supervisors. Thanks to the generosity of the survey respondents, the pages that follow paint a compelling picture of both pharmacy’s commitment to ensuring safe handling of HDs as well as the complexity and time consuming nature of this undertaking.

Survey respondents represent the various facility sizes across the US.

Facility locations equally represent urban, suburban, and rural facilities.

Survey respondents hail from a cross section of community hospitals, teaching facilities, and academic medical centers.
