BCMA adoptions continue to hover just below the 90% mark, as facilities with fewer than 100 beds have been somewhat slower than their larger counterparts to adopt this technology. It is notable that most facilities continue to maintain their original approach to medication scanning, for example, few facilities switch from scanners to thin-client or vice versa. As such, the most common methods used for bedside scanning remain COWs and bar code readers/scanners.
