The advanced data storage capacity of 2D bar codes are widely enjoyed by a variety of hospital pharmacies, although usage is particularly concentrated among large facilities with point-of-care distribution. After many years of increasing adoptions and expanding usage of 2D bar codes, this year saw a leveling off in the number of facilities adding 2D bar codes to their packaging operations accompanied by a similar pause in the number of facilities expanding the use of 2D bar codes within their packaging operation.
