Spanish Auxiliary Labels
Medi-Dose/EPS announces the addition of a complementary series of Spanish auxiliary labels to its product line. These labels call attention to the same special information and indications for medication as the company’s English-language pharmacy warning and instruction labels. Medi-Dose/EPS Auxiliary Labels measure 3/8” x 1 ½” and are brightly colored so they call attention to themselves. All of the labels contain easily identifiable graphics depicting what is being described. In addition, when used with the company’s Mini-LiquiDose Labels, pharmacists and nurses can design their own auxiliary labels for their particular needs. Bar codes, graphics, special fonts, tall man lettering, shapes, and logos can be included on the labels.

Controlled Medication Auditing
Kit Check’s Bluesight for Controlled Substances (Bluesight CS) is designed to optimize medication auditing from cabinet to patient and safeguard against drug diversion events. Allowing hospitals to leverage machine learning to manage and interpret highly complex information, Bluesight CS seamlessly connects information from ADCs, EMRs, and other systems to provide an audit of the dispense, administration, waste, and return records for controlled substances. Discrepancies are flagged for review, meaning pharmacy staff does not need to spend time manually matching records. Machine algorithms uncover hidden patterns and correlations not readily revealed in manual audits. Hospital administrators receive specific, actionable recommendations on anomalous behavior and documentation patterns, and can gain insight into critical usage areas, such as the OR and other procedural areas that might not follow the standard order process.
