From 2007 until last year, the use of automated drug storage and retrieval systems had remained stagnant; only about 29% of health systems took advantage of this automation. However, the steady growth of the past 2 years has resulted in a record number of carousel and robot implementations. Given the high satisfaction rates ascribed to these solutions, it is no surprise that users almost universally plan to stick with their technology for at least the next 5 years.
