Bar code scanning will soon be ubiquitous; 88% of US hospitals have implemented BCMA and 73% of those without this technology are planning an adoption in the near future. Interest is high in easy accessibility to EMR during the scanning process; as such, tablets, in-room PCs and thin clients, and COWs are the highest rated devices for bedside verification.
