The 340B drug-pricing program allows eligible health care organizations to maximize resources while ensuring patients receive the medications they require. Although the program is popular among facilities of all sizes, the largest hospitals (those with 400+ beds) are the most likely to participate, with almost two-thirds of these reaping the benefits of the program. Notably, rural and urban hospitals utilize this program at almost equal rates.
