Compliant cleaning practices are a key component in establishing and ensuring ongoing control in the compounding complex. Given their detailed, yet monotonous nature, cleaning processes are subject to suffering from practice drift. Effective documentation strategies can help ensure continuous adherence to regulatory requirements, while also easing the inspection process. The results from PP&P’s annual State of Compounding Practice survey demonstrate that many facilities continue to struggle with appropriate documentation practices, which can imperil inspection results.
