As predicted last year, the popularity of the point-of-care distribution model continued to increase this year, and more facilities moved away from the hybrid approach. Likewise, more facilities are coalescing behind automated options in distribution devices, with automated dispensing cabinets being the most popular approach to supporting drug distribution and control. It is interesting to note that those facilities with point-of-care distribution are also much more likely to have BCMA and CPOE in place.
