The strongest BCMA adoption rates are seen in facilities with point-of-care and hybrid distribution models (78% and 63%, respectively). Those using distribution systems designed around satellite or centralized pharmacies have lower BCMA adoption rates (58% and 50%, respectively). Likewise, those hospitals employing a pharmacy informaticist are almost twice as likely to have implemented BCMA, demonstrating the value of this position brings to the implementation patient safety technologies.
