Carousels and robots are used in 30% of facilities, however this number can be misleading as these technology adoptions are strongly dependent on facility size. Just 9% of hospitals with under 100 beds are using this technology. That percentage increases to 34% for 200-400 bed hospitals and soars to 63% for hospitals with more than 400 beds. Most facilities have chosen to purchase rather than lease their systems and users assign them high satisfaction marks. Furthermore, 96% of those using an automated storage and retrieval system plan to continue doing so over the next five years.
