Equashield launches the Mundus Mini HD, a compounding solution designed to incorporate safety, quality, and efficiency into the process of automated compounding of hazardous drugs (HDs). The system leverages Equashield’s CSTD to help ensure safety in HD handling, minimizing risks of contamination, exposure, and medication errors. The Mundus Mini HD offers traceability, reporting, and dose accuracy verification with three embedded cameras, machine vision, and AI technology. These combined technologies aim to reduce the risk of compounding errors, such as incorrect medication or diluent, wrong dosage amounts, and mislabeling. Using the system, users can compound up to 37 individual doses per hour while integrating with all major manufacturers’ drug vials and IV bags, operating within a compact footprint. With plug-and-play bidirectional compatibility, the device can integrate with hospital EMR systems, minimizing the need for extensive IT resources.
