Swisslog Healthcare launches the ezCUT Automated Tablet Cutter in collaboration with JVM Manufacturing. To streamline pharmacy workflows and processing, the ezCUT is engineered to automatically and accurately cut oral solid medications in order to fulfill half-strength prescriptions. The device can enable dosing accuracy while removing hands-on activity. Loaded without using canister calibration, it can cut a maximum of 20 tablets per minute and count 70 pills per minute. Capable of dividing tablets into halves for both round and oblong medications of varying sizes, the system automatically discards damaged or irregular tablets, helping to ensure dose accuracy.
