The Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) has hired Joseph Coyne to serve as its pharmacy accreditation program director. Coyne will be responsible for leading and preserving the pharmacy program’s suite of services and distinctions designed specifically for individual pharmacy professional needs. He will help establish industry standards, overseeing compliance with policies and procedures while also identifying areas for improvement for overall organizational development efforts. Bringing decades of experience working in pharmacy operations, consulting and business development, Coyne has served as the chief pharmacy officer and vice president of supply chain for Pinnacle Dermatology and founded Coyne Consulting LLC. Coyne earned his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and is certified as a sterile compounding pharmacist by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties.
