The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) introduces a new certification allowing technicians to demonstrate their understanding of nonsterile compounding with the Nonsterile Compounding Certificate. The certificate validates technicians’ competencies in regulations and required processes for nonsterile compounding, compounding types, equipment, and formulations, collecting patient information, and identifying medication formulations. This effort helps to support the successful advancement of technicians while serving patients with specialized, safe, and effective care.
