W. Layton Daniels, PharmD, MBA, is the pharmacy supervisor at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health and holds a doctorate of pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and a master’s of business administration from York College of Pennsylvania. He has a variety of pharmacy experience from staffing at a for profit small orthopedic hospital as a contracted pharmacist, where he worked closely with orthopedic surgeons, nurses, and the vice president of medical affairs to improve patient outcomes after orthopedic surgery. Layton has supervised staff for a large healthcare system with multiple hospitals, practices, and clinics, where he gained experience in multiple arenas, such as the OR, ICU, ED, and pediatric units.
